Love the Android Auto integration; it’s wireless and very stable. The performance is 5-star, but I’m giving it 4 because the screen is quite reflective in the X5’s cabin at certain angles. I had to buy a matte anti-glare screen protector to make it perfect. Aside from that, it’s a massive improvement over the stock 6.5-inch screen.

The seller was extremely helpful with my questions about the CCC to Android harness. Once installed, the “Dual System” switching is seamless; I can go back to the original iDrive menu in a second. No lag at all, and the audio quality through the factory AUX is excellent after tweaking the internal DSP settings.

The 12.3-inch display fits the dashboard perfectly. I was worried about the “floating” look, but it looks like a factory G-series upgrade. The Snapdragon 8-core processor handles everything I throw at it. If you’re on the fence, just get it.

Installed this on my 2012 X5 (CIC). The 1920×720 resolution is stunning—it makes the original BMW screen look like a GameBoy. Wireless Android Auto works flawlessly. I was worried about the anti-glare, but it actually handles the afternoon sun better than the OEM screen did. Switching back to the original iDrive menu is seamless with the Menu button hold.

The screen itself is beautiful and the Snapdragon 665 is very fast. My only gripe is that the internal microphone for calls is just “okay”—my callers say I sound a bit distant. I ended up routing an external mic which solved it. Also, be prepared to spend some time in the factory settings to get the resolution of the original BMW side to look right. Overall, a solid 4.5 stars.
