High-spec hardware that actually delivers
I was skeptical about aftermarket screens, but the specs on this DRIKSWVE unit are legit. The 1920×720 HD resolution is stunningly clear, and the AG anti-glare works wonders even with the panoramic sunroof open.
Performance-wise, the 8-core Snapdragon 665 handles multitasking easily. I run Waze while streaming high-res audio via Spotify, and there is zero lag. The UFS 2.1 memory makes app loading feel instantaneous. I also popped in a 4G SIM card, and the signal strength is excellent. If you have an NTG 4.5 ML/GL, don’t waste your money on the cheaper 2GB RAM units—this 4GB+64GB version is the sweet spot for a smooth experience.

Great hardware, but be careful with the wiring
The screen and the Snapdragon 665 performance are definitely 5-star quality. Everything is smooth and the CarPlay works flawlessly. I’m only giving it 4 stars because the installation in the W166 is a bit tight
You really have to organize the cables behind the head unit perfectly to get the radio to slide back in all the way. Also, a reminder to everyone: transfer your fiber optic cables from the old harness to the new one, or you won’t have sound! Once it’s in, it’s amazing, but set aside a few hours for a clean install.”

Best upgrade for the ML350!
Fast, crisp, and fits perfectly. The Snapdragon 665 is lightyears ahead of the generic chips. Wireless CarPlay connects instantly. My W166 finally feels modern.

Excellent screen, minor audio learning curve
The 1920×720 resolution is a massive jump from factory. I love the interface and the speed of the Android 13 system. The only reason for 4 stars is that the built-in microphone isn’t as good as the original Mercedes one for phone calls.
Pro tip: Set your phone to stay connected to the ‘Original Bluetooth’ for calls, while using the screen for maps/music. Also, you might need to tweak the ‘AUX’ volume in the factory settings to get the levels to match the radio. Once dialed in, it’s a fantastic unit.

Great for long trips
We took our GL on a 500-mile trip right after installing this. The GPS navigation is dead accurate, and the 5G WiFi is fast. Having Android Auto wirelessly is a game changer for road trips. The screen doesn’t get hot even after hours of use. Highly recommend!

Stunning Display Quality
The colors are so much more vivid than the stock screen. The Adreno 610 GPU really shows its power when playing back video. The build quality of the 10.25-inch monitor is premium and the touch response is very sensitive. 5 stars all the way.

Perfect Factory Look
The dual-system feature is the best part. I can check my original Mercedes service settings and then flip back to Android 13 with one button. The factory knob and steering wheel buttons work perfectly. It looks like it came with the car!
