I’ve had my 2014 Q5 with the MMI 3G+ for years, and while the car drives like a dream, the infotainment felt like a time capsule from the early 2010s. This 10.25-inch display has completely revitalized my driving experience.
The hardware specs are what really sold me. The Snapdragon 665 is incredibly snappy—I can jump between Google Maps and Spotify with zero lag, which is a massive upgrade over the older PX6 units I’ve seen. The 1920*720 resolution is stunningly sharp, and the AG anti-glare technology actually works; even with the sun hitting the dash, I can see my navigation perfectly. I love the Dual System feature because it allows me to keep all my original Audi settings and car info while having a modern Android 13 interface. I also popped a 4G SIM card in, and having dedicated internet for the car makes long trips so much better for the passengers. If you have an older Q5, don’t hesitate—this is the best mod you can do.

Fast, Sleek, and Very Powerful
This is hands down the best tech upgrade I’ve bought for my 2019 Q5. The 4GB+64GB memory combined with the UFS 2.1 storage means everything loads instantly. Wireless CarPlay connects within seconds of me getting into the car. The colors are so much more vivid than the factory screen thanks to the Adreno 610 GPU. It looks like an OEM part and fits perfectly. The dual-band WiFi is also a great touch for fast updates when I’m parked at home.

The tech in this unit is definitely 5-star. The Snapdragon 665 is powerful, the screen is bright, and the Android 13 software is clean. My only reason for 4 stars is that the installation for the Q5 can be a bit tedious, especially getting all the cables tucked behind the dash for the MMI system. It took me a little longer than expected, but once it was in, it worked flawlessly. It’s a massive improvement over stock, just take your time with the setup!

I was worried about compatibility with my 2012 Concert radio setup, but this worked perfectly. It’s amazing to have modern Android Auto and a high-definition touch screen in an older Q5. The original knob controls still work, which is great for scrolling through playlists without taking my eyes off the road. The screen quality is top-tier and the Android 13 system is very stable.
