How to Make Your Audio Sound
Activate AUX Menu：
If your NTG 4.5 OEM menu does not have AUX, you will need to activate it. Otherwise you can’t get Android sound.

I’ve tried the cheaper 4-core units before, and they are frustratingly slow. This 8-core Snapdragon 665 is the real deal. I can run Waze on one side of the screen and Spotify on the other (split-screen) with zero stuttering. The Android 13 OS is stable and handles every app I’ve downloaded. 10/10 for performance.

was worried a larger screen would look ‘tacked on,’ but the bracket for the W212/W207 is spot on. It sits recessed just like the original but fills the entire space with a gorgeous 1920×720 display. The colors are vibrant, and I can still access all my original Mercedes car settings by holding the ‘CLR’ button on the dial. Absolutely worth the price.

The anti-glare screen is a lifesaver in the E-Class Coupe (W207) with the sunroof open. Even in direct light, the maps are perfectly visible. I was worried about audio quality, but after moving the fiber optic cables to the new harness, the sound is actually punchier than before. It’s a complete multimedia overhaul.”

Fantastic hardware, but watch the NTG version!
The screen itself is 5 stars—fast, bright, and very high quality. The Snapdragon 665 is definitely the chip to get. However, I’m giving 4 stars because the installation in the W212 is a bit of a project.
You have to be very careful identifying if you have NTG 4.0, 4.5, or 5.0 before ordering because the harnesses are totally different. Also, space behind the head unit is very tight; I had to spend a lot of time cable-managing to get the radio to slide back in properly. Once installed, it’s perfect, but definitely watch some YouTube tutorials before you start!

Seamless interaction with the COMAND wheel
What I love most is that the Mercedes rotary dial works perfectly with the new interface. I don’t even have to touch the screen and leave fingerprints; I can just scroll and click through CarPlay. The integration with the steering wheel buttons for volume and skipping tracks is flawless. Great job DRIKSWVE.
