The Ultimate Tech Overhaul for the Audi A1
I’ve had my Audi A1 for nearly six years, and while the car still runs great, the tiny, low-res factory screen was really showing its age. This 10.25-inch display has completely revitalized the cabin.
The build quality is premium, but the real star is the Snapdragon 665 chip. Unlike the cheap, laggy units you see elsewhere, this thing is lightning fast. I can have Google Maps running while streaming high-quality audio, and there is zero stutter. The 1920*720 resolution is incredibly sharp, and the AG anti-glare technology is a lifesaver—I can see the screen perfectly even in direct sunlight. I also love the dual system integration; I can switch back to the original Audi MMI settings instantly using the factory controls. If you want to bring your A1 into 2026, this is the best investment you can make. The 4GB RAM and UFS 2.1 storage make it feel as smooth as a flagship tablet.

Snappy Performance and Vivid Colors
This screen is a massive upgrade! The Android 13 system is very polished and intuitive. I was worried about the wireless CarPlay being buggy, but it connects almost instantly when I start the engine. The Adreno 610 GPU makes the colors pop—Spotify and Waze look amazing. It’s much faster than I expected, likely due to that Kryo 260 CPU. It fits the A1 dashboard perfectly and makes the whole interior feel like a much more expensive car.

Great Hardware, Careful with Installation
The tech in this unit is definitely 5-star level. The Snapdragon 665 is incredibly powerful and the screen is beautiful. My only reason for 4 stars is that the installation for the A1 MMI 3G+ can be a bit tricky because the space behind the dash is quite tight. You really have to be patient when routing the cables to make sure everything sits flush. Once it’s in, it works flawlessly and the speed is incredible. Just take your time with the setup!

Seamless Integration and Fast 4G
I popped a 4G SIM card into the unit and now my A1 has its own high-speed internet. Having dual-band WiFi (5G) is also great for when I’m parked at home and need to update apps. I’m really impressed that all my original car info and knob controls still work perfectly. It’s powerful, looks great, and the LPDDR4X memory keeps everything running smoothly even with multiple apps open.
